Govt increases petrol prices again

ISLAMABAD: Two weeks after the rate increment, the administration on Monday at the end of the day expanded fuel costs.

The cost of petrol has been expanded from Rs71.29 to Rs73, though fast diesel will now cost Rs82 after an expansion of Rs1.52 per liter.

The rates for lamp fuel oil and light diesel oil were additionally expanded from Rs43.25 to Rs44, and light diesel oil from Rs43.34 to Rs44 individually.

Reporting the new tax, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said the legislature should bear a weight of Rs3 billion to keep up the new costs.

The new rates will be powerful from midnight, he included.
