Karachi: Police officer dies in traffic collision

In the Kemari District of Karachi, a police officer lost his life after a high-speed trailer collided with his motorcycle.

Based on the information provided, the police officer, known as Ghulam Akbar, was riding a motorcycle when he was struck and run over by a trailer in the vicinity of Kemari.

The body was sent to the Civil Hospital Karachi to fulfill the necessary medico-legal procedures. The individual was assigned to the Jackson police station.

The driver successfully fled as the trailer was being seized by the police.

In November of last year, a vehicle accident occurred in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar district, resulting in the death of a child girl and injury to two other individuals.

The incident took place in the vicinity of Perfume Chowk in the city, where a car traveling at high speed collided with a rickshaw. As a result, an 8-year-old girl was instantly killed, while her mother and the rickshaw driver sustained injuries.

Upon receiving notification, the rescue teams promptly arrived at the location and transported the deceased and injured individuals to Jinnah Hospital. Subsequently, law enforcement authorities have apprehended the female operator of the vehicle.

GHQ Attack Case: Prosecution Seeks Bail Cancellation of CM KP & Other Accused, Indicts 9 More

25 defendants, including PTI officials, have non-bailable arrest warrants issued by the Anti Terrorism Court of Rawalpindi for their failure to show up for court proceedings related to the GHQ attack case.

Judge Amjad Ali Shah added nine more suspects to the GHQ attack indictment list during today’s ATC Court sessions, bringing the total to 98.

Among the 61 defendants who appeared in court were Shah Mehmud Qureshi and the founder of the PTI.

Among those charged are Khadim Hussain Khokhar, Mehr Mohammad Javed, Chaudhary Asif, Zakir Ullah, Azeem Ullah, Shireen Mazatri, Major Retired Tahir Sadiq, and former MPA Rashid Hafeez.

A plea to cancel the bail of 23 suspects, including Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has also been filed by the prosecution side.

In the GHQ attack, there were 119 accused in total.
