The BIEK chairman declared that simultaneous administration of the matric and intermediate tests in the same locations was not feasible.

Memon stated that the board has asked the minister of education for permission to prolong the tests by four days. He indicated that the matric tests were set for the evening, and the inter exams were to be held in the morning in the centers.

Due to the prevailing heatwave, the Sindh government earlier scheduled five days for the province’s intermediate exams to be rescheduled.

As suggested by Muhammad Ali Malkani, the provincial minister for universities and boards, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah allowed the postponement.
