PIA plane tire bursts, but no passengers are hurt.

When the aircraft’s tires ruptured after takeoff, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Dubai to Multan encountered a technical problem. This unanticipated issue led the flight, carrying 172 people, to cancel its takeoff.

According to the PIA spokesperson, an engine issue signal was received as the Airbus A320 was accelerating on the runway. The airplane came to a safe stop when the pilot used the emergency brake system.

But all of the tires ruptured due to the abrupt braking, thus for everyone’s safety, the passengers had to be moved right away to the airport lounge.

In order to address and fix the technical issue, the PIA engineering department sent a crew from Karachi to Dubai on a flight that is scheduled for tonight, which falls between Monday and Tuesday.

The national flag carrier’s management has made plans for the impacted passengers in the interim. While some would be flown from Sharjah to Multan, others will be accommodated on PIA flight PK 204 from Dubai to Lahore tonight.

It is important to note that the Pakistani government intends to privatize Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). According to ARY News on Thursday, the Privatization Commission recently decided to extend the deadline for submission of bids for PIA’s privatization by one month, to October 31, 2024.

The deadline for paying advance money has been pushed to October 28, 2024, and as a result of the extension, the draft agreement is now scheduled to be signed on October 25, 2024.

Companies interested in privatizing PIA are taken aback by the abrupt decision to extend the deadline for bids.

Aviation insiders caution that the privatization process may suffer as a result of this prolongation.
