For security reasons, the Metro Bus service in Islamabad has been suspended until Friday, according to the district administration.

According to the administration, enhanced security measures include the temporary service suspension, and delegates from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting are still returning to their home nations.

Additionally, buses on feeder routes linked to the Metro Bus service will be suspended, the district administration announced in a statement.

To protect visiting dignitaries’ safety and facilitate their seamless movement, the Metro Bus service has been suspended.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting is scheduled to take place in Shanghai from October 14–16. Prior to this, the government had announced a thorough traffic plan for Rawalpindi and Islamabad. In order to maintain efficient traffic flow throughout the well-publicized event, multiple road closures and detours were anticipated.

Heavy traffic of any kind was forbidden in the city from October 14 to October 16. For the purpose of controlling and facilitating traffic during this time, more than 1,100 traffic officers had been employed. There was no traffic on the expressway that runs from Zero Point to Koral Chowk.

Moreover, from October 14 to October 17, the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Service was totally canceled. Sadar Station and the Pakistan Secretariat will not be served by the Metro at this period.

The public rejected the elements continually calling for protests and sit-ins, according to Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, and the PTI’s performance today will also fail.

Speaking at a news conference in Lahore, the planning minister stated that the government is responsible for protecting people and property, and that the necessary precautions have been taken in this regard.

Because of its effective economic policies, Pakistan is on the path to prosperity and development, according to Ahsan Iqbal. He stated that a five-year strategy for economic advancement will be unveiled shortly by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

But the demonstrators have a sinister plan to sabotage this advancement for their own ends, he claimed.

PTI intends to disrupt everyday life and restore law and order in the nation, he claimed. However, he stressed, the law will not be taken into one’s own hands, and those who break it would face harsh consequences.

The PTI founder has been sentenced by the courts, according to Ahsan Iqbal, and his release can only occur legally—not through a sit-in or protest. According to him, the PTI founder will need to use the legal system to cleanse his name in every case.
