Haris Rauf suffered a lower chest wall sprain during Saturday’s game against New Zealand, and it has been recommended that he reste.

“Haris Rauf is anticipated to be fully fit and available for selection for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, so the replacement is only for the tri-nation ODI series,” a PCB spokeswoman stated.

The selection committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board met to talk about potential successors, and Mohammad Ali, Akif Javed, and Muhammad Wasim Jr. were among the candidates who were discussed.

An update regarding pacer Haris Rauf’s injury sustained during the tri-nation series match between Pakistan and New Zealand was previously released by the PCB.

The right-arm quick’s participation for the forthcoming Champions Trophy 2025 was questioned when he departed the field during the encounter on February 8 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore due to a side strain.

Following MRI and X-ray tests, it has been determined that Haris Rauf, a fast bowler for Pakistan, sprained his lower chest wall muscle during Saturday’s game against New Zealand. He should be fully recovered for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which starts in Karachi on February 19, according to a statement from the PCB. The ailment is not significant.

For the Pakistan pacer’s match against South Africa on February 12, the PCB medical board has chosen to rest him as a precaution and as part of his continued recovery.

After Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell scored fifties, Glenn Phillips’ undefeated century helped New Zealand defeat Pakistan in the opening match of the tri-nation series.

The Kiwis have already guaranteed their spot in the grand finale with two out of two victories, and on February 12, Pakistan will play South Africa in Karachi in a virtual semi-final of the series.

The Expanded Program on Immunization offers vaccinations against 12 childhood diseases at no cost at health facilities, while the Pakistan Polio Program organizes many large vaccination drives throughout the year to provide the vaccine to children at their doorstep.
