A 17-person Ugandan team arrived in Islamabad for a research tour of the Benazir Income Support Program headquarters.
The team was greeted at the opening session by Mr. Amer Ali Ahmad, the Secretary of BISP, who also gave them a detailed rundown of BISP’s many activities.
Secretary Amer Ali Ahmad emphasized how crucial the BISP has been in providing Pakistan’s beneficiaries throughout the previous 15 years with a safety net.
Programs like Kafaalat, an unconditional cash transfer that falls within the purview of the BISP, have been crucial in helping 9.3 million needy households by offering financial support.
