Additional members of the force will include the joint secretary of the interior and information, the director of the information technology ministry’s cybercrime wing (FIA), the director of information technology (IT), the joint director of the intelligence bureau (DIG Islamabad Police), and ISI and MI officials.

In the aftermath of the latest demonstration, the task team will determine the components engaged in spreading disinformation.

Within ten days, the task team would draft its proposals and submit them to the government, the announcement stated.

In light of the recent acts of terrorism and vandalism, the force will track out actors both domestically and internationally who are disseminating false information against the government and security services.

According to the report, fake, unfounded, and misleading information is being disseminated on both domestic and foreign media outlets.

The campaign’s goals are to spread ethnic and provincial disorder for the benefit of powerful political interests and to seriously disrupt the nation’s law and order situation.

Using false and phony photos and other materials, the notification continued, and those involved in this campaign attempted to perpetrate grave human rights abuses.

It stated that the task force was established by the prime minister in a high-level meeting to find the individuals causing chaos and violence and take decisive action against them.
