Due to extreme weather variations and losses in agricultural productivity, especially in cotton crops, Minister of Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has emphasized the need of tackling the effects of climate change.

The fourth meeting of the Policy and Strategy Committee and the Oversight Board on Post-Flood Reconstruction Activities was being presided over by him in Islamabad.

The country lost a total of thirty billion dollars as a result of the floods in 2022, according to the minister of planning. In the wake of the devastating floods of 2022, he underlined the significance of Pakistan’s cooperation with its development partners.

Ahsan Iqbal also emphasized how quickly and effectively efforts to reconstruct impacted communities and restore livelihoods must be implemented.
