Admiral Naveed Ashraf, the Chief of Naval Staff, paid a formal visit to Bahrain and met with the highest levels of the military and civil leadership.
The Naval Chief met with Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, and Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain.
Strengthening defence cooperation and bolstering the longstanding relationship between Bahrain and Pakistan were the main topics of discussion during these sessions. The King valued the Pakistan Navy’s contribution to regional maritime stability and security.
Subsequently, the Chief of Naval Staff met with General Shaikh Mohammed Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the Bahrain National Guard; Commander of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force, Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Binali; and Commander-In-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
Professional issues of shared interest were covered at these meetings, such as bilateral defence cooperation and regional marine security.
The naval chief underlined how crucial it is to improve communication between the two nations’ armed forces through training exchanges, mutual visits, and joint exercises.
The Royal Command and Staff College and the RBNF Ship Manama were also visited by Admiral Naveed Ashraf.
During his speech at The Royal Command and Staff College, the Naval Chief discussed the Indian Ocean region’s present and future conditions and emphasised the necessity of a region-centric maritime security structure.
