As security personnel repel an attack on the Turbat Naval Base, four terrorists are killed.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reports that four terrorists assaulted the Naval Base in Turbat, carrying heavy weapons and explosives. But prompt action from military personnel stopped the assault, sparing the base and its people any damage.

A Pakistan Navy spokesman claimed that the terrorists made an attempt to cross over from the Turbat Civil Airport grounds. The attackers launched hand grenades and started shooting at the base’s entrance.

The terrorists were all killed because Pakistani Navy personnel’s quick and well-coordinated response thwarted the attack and prevented the terrorists from entering the naval installation.

Noman Farid, an FC member, accepted martyrdom in the face of his assailants.

To search the region for any potential threats or surviving terrorists, the Pakistan Navy, Frontier Corps, and police jointly conducted a clearance operation.

Prior to this, on March 20, the BLA had attacked the residential complex of the Gwadar Port Authority. In the incident, two security personnel lost their lives. Afterwards, security agents executed eight terrorists in retaliation.

In a coordinated operation, maritime forces confiscate 1,000 kilograms of drugs.

Over 1,000 kg of drugs were successfully intercepted by Pakistan’s marine troops in the Arabian Sea during a Joint Intelligence Based Operation (JIBO).

The Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), Joint Maritime Information and Coordination Center (JMICC), and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) all participated in the operation, which was conducted under the Sea Front Task Force (SFTF), according to a press release released here.

A stateless vessel transporting a sizable amount of drugs was intercepted as part of a Joint Intelligence Based Operation (JIBO) carried out by the Sea Front Task Force (SFTF).

The seized drugs are expected to be worth PKR 2.3 billion on the global market, according to a press release. The collaborating agencies’ coordinated efforts and prompt intelligence sharing enabled the successful seizure.

The ANF has received the confiscated narcotics for additional examination and legal action.

According to earlier reports, since September 2023, Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and other security services have confiscated more than 1062.894 metric tons of drugs nationwide.

During that time, 2,350 drug dealers and smugglers were apprehended nationwide, according to official statistics. The operation is a component of the government’s endeavor to eradicate drugs from Pakistan and fight the illicit drug trade.

The KP government provides combined districts with more than Rs4 billion in development grants.

An official document states that the Finance Department has set aside more than Rs billion for projects during the fiscal year 2024–2025.

For development projects in the combined districts, a total of Rs43.7 million has been approved, comprising Rs21.98 million under the Accelerated Implementation Program (AIP) and Rs21.71 million under the Annual Development Program (ADP).

Under the annual development plan, an additional Rs136 million has been set out for local government initiatives.

ADP has allocated Rs. 250 million for road building, Rs. 40 million for population and relief restoration, Rs. 1 million for multi-sectoral development, and more than Rs. 178 million for AIP.

Primary education has been allocated Rs50 million under ADP and Rs150 million under AIP, while the health sector will receive Rs100 million under ADP and Rs200 million under AIP.

To promote regional development, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa finance minister authorized the disbursement of Rs 3.14 billion for the combined districts last year.

In specifics, the significant investment will help a number of industries, such as infrastructure, energy, health, education, and agriculture. With Rs 65 million designated for agricultural development, Rs 284 million for basic and secondary education, and Rs 200 million for higher education, the money would be split among other sectors.

In Napier, eight members of the Pakistan T20 team join the ODI team.

In preparation for the forthcoming series against New Zealand, eight members of Pakistan’s T20 team have joined the ODI team in Napier.

The ODI team now includes Irfan Khan Niazi, Khushdil Shah, Haris Rauf, and Agha Salman. Furthermore, Usman Khan, Sufiyan Muqeem, Mohammad Ali, and Abrar Ahmed have joined the team.

Pakistan and New Zealand will play their first One-Day International (ODI) in Napier on March 29.

The remaining eight T20 players, meanwhile, are scheduled to leave for Pakistan today.
