Bilawal Bhutto, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has voiced apprehension regarding the escalating politics of animosity and division inside the nation.

During a ceremony at the Governor’s House, he urged all political parties to collaborate in combating terrorism. He asserted that multinational entities were responsible for terrorism in Pakistan and pledged to combat its enablers.

Bilawal emphasized that the PPP has been essential in the nation’s political landscape, especially in addressing extremism. He emphasized that terrorism and the economic crisis are significant concerns for the populace.

He emphasized that poverty and unemployment have afflicted citizens for years and must be prioritized. He underscored the deteriorating law and order conditions in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, advocating that public concerns should remain apolitical.

Criticizing some opposition parties, he noted that they skipped the National Security Council meeting to exploit terrorism for political gains.

To strengthen economic relations, the first-ever two-day Pakistan-EU Business forum is scheduled to take place in Islamabad from May 14–15.

A statement released by the European Union delegation in Islamabad states that throughout the two days of the high-level business conference, Pakistan’s potential, innovation, and best practices in important industries like energy, green logistics, pharmaceuticals, information technology, and textiles would be highlighted.

In order to enhance the regulatory environment and promote commerce, the event will encourage communication between the public and private sectors.

“European companies are recognizing Pakistan as a potential business destination,” said EU Ambassador Dr. Riina Kionka.

The EU-Pakistan business network, which will bring together the more than 300 European companies operating in Pakistan, will also be launched during the business event.

ECNEC: Meeting Authorizes Development Projects Totaling Rs. 1.27 Trillion

13 development projects totaling 1,275.714 billion rupees were approved by ECNEC in important areas such as public infrastructure, transportation, communications, railroads, and space technology.

The national economic council’s executive committee met under the direction of Senator Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister.

The committee also approved flood repair projects in Sindh to rebuild vital infrastructure and economic transformation projects in Gilgit-Baltistan to reduce poverty.

The purchase of high-capacity wagons and passenger coaches by Pakistan Railways, the Pakistan optical remote sensing satellite project, and a number of major road projects to improve connectivity were among the major approvals.

Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister, reiterated the government’s dedication to economic advancement, interprovincial connectivity, and sustainable development.
