Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar pledged Tuesday to further strengthen their strategic partnership and take Pakistan-China relations to new heights.
According to a Foreign Office press statement, they restated during the meeting the Pak-China all-weather strategic cooperation, which was a pillar of the two countries’ bilateral ties.
They discussed the development of CPEC 2.0 and referred to it as an important initiative that aims to improve regional connectivity and economic cooperation.
DPM Dar was invited by Ambassador Jiang on behalf of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to attend the High-Level UN Security Council Event “Practicing Multilateralism, Reforming and Improving Global Governance,” which will be held in New York on February 18, 2025, and hosted by China as part of its UNSC Presidency.
Pakistan’s dedication to multilateral cooperation was demonstrated by the deputy prime minister’s acceptance of the invitation.
