The second phase of the China-Pakistan economic corridor would foster business-to-business partnerships and industrial collaboration, according to Pakistan’s ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi.
This was stated by the ambassador when he spoke at the round table conference between China and Pakistan in Tianjin.
Ambassador Hashmi encouraged Chinese businesses to look into joint partnerships and investment opportunities, saying that Pakistan’s petrochemical sector offered a wealth of investment potential.
In order to facilitate direct economic partnerships between companies from both nations, he announced that the Pakistani Embassy would hold a petrochemical business-to-business event in May 2025.
He underlined that China and Pakistan are focussing on greater industrial cooperation and investment prospects, especially in the petrochemical sector, as their economic alliance picks up steam.
Ambassador Hashmi emphasised that Pakistan is a desirable site for investors due to its strategic location and growing economy.
Chinese business executives at the event confirmed that, given the excellent prospects for industrial cooperation, Chinese businesses are prepared to invest in Pakistan.
