Chinese military leader COAS Munir talks about regional security

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir had a visit on Monday at General Headquarters from General Li Qiaoming, Commander of the People’s Liberation Army Ground Forces.

As per the ISPR statement, the meeting provided a platform for comprehensive conversations on issues of shared concern, security in the region, military instruction, and ways to enhance defense cooperation between the two sides.

The People’s Liberation Army and the Pakistan Army have strong ties, COAS Munir noted, and their continuous military cooperation is evidence of their continued brotherhood.

As they acknowledged the Pakistan Army’s unwavering professionalism and dedication, the visiting dignitary expressed respect for Pakistan’s coordinated efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremism.

Asserting Pakistan’s profound love for its fraternal connections with China, Gen. Asim Munir thanked the dignitary.

In a formal gesture of welcome and respect, General Li Qiaoming had earlier laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada before arriving at General Headquarters. He was also given a guard of honor by a well-groomed Pakistan Army detachment.

Following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck at 4:17 am, thousands of residential buildings in southeast Turkey collapsed, killing numerous people in their wake.
