The action comes after Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi launched an anti-corruption campaign.

Abdul Rahim Sheikh has been instructed to report to the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department, according to specifics.

His suspension was due to negligence and alleged involvement in corruption.

Prior to his suspension, Commissioner Karachi issued a show-cause notice, highlighting his failure to control food prices in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal subdivision.

It is worth noting that Commissioner Karachi had issued strict directives to take action against profiteering, emphasizing the need for price control measures.

A meeting to evaluate the plans for steps to prevent profiteering and guarantee the provision of basic food goods at rates set by the city administration was earlier led by Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi.

In order to ensure that commodities are sold at official prices, the meeting decided to continue the battle against profiteering. Each magistrate will be forced to spend at least one hour each week in two marketplaces or bazaars within their subdivision.

It was resolved at the meeting that all magistrates assigned to monitor official pricing would do so.
