Actor and producer Sheheryar Munawar of Pakistan has confirmed the long-awaited news of his impending marriage. He said in a recent interview that he will marry before the end of this month.

After months of circulating on social media, the revelation was formally verified during a YouTube presentation.

Munawar responded, “I am getting married at the end of December, and my bride is not from the showbiz industry,” when questioned about his preparations for marriage. With pleasure and thankfulness, he begged, “Please do pray for us.”

There have been many rumors about his relationship with Maheen Siddiqui, a rising actress in Pakistan’s entertainment sector, even though the name of his wife has not been formally revealed.

Siddiqui famously shared a passionate message for Munawar on his 36th birthday in August, calling him her “jaan,” which further stoked rumors about their connection. The two had been connected in media reports for a while.

Fans have been quick to offer their well wishes for the couple, even though Sheheryar Munawar has mostly kept his personal life private. The actor has already expressed his admiration for Siddiqui in public.

The actor has received considerable praise for his performances and is well-known for his celebrated parts in dramas like Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Pehli Si Mohabbat, and Aye Ishq e Junoon.

Today, for the first time in its history, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) crossed the 105,000-point threshold, marking a significant milestone. Currently, the market is dominated by the positive trend.

Over 900 points were added to the PSX during trading, but profit-taking prompted the index to fall just below the 105,000-point mark. The 100-Index ended the day up 401 points, coming in at 104,960 points.

Prior to this, Omar Ayub, a member of the National Assembly and another leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had resigned from the Judicial Commission.

Shibli Faraz will be replaced by Senator Ali Zafar as the representative and judicial commission member.

Shibli Faraz reportedly submitted a formal letter to the Senate Chairman resigning from office.

According to the letter, Senator Shibli Faraz is leaving because of the 32 FIRs that have been filed against him and the court proceedings that have made it difficult for him to perform his duties on the panel.

Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz, the opposition leaders in the National Assembly and the Senate, resigned from the Judicial Commission two days ago, according to sources, and PTI chairman Imran Khan ordered that Barrister Gohar and Senator Ali Zafar be nominated in their stead.

The PTI formally joined the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) in October 2024. Members of the judicial commission from both houses of Parliament were nominated by the party.
