Federal Cabinet Meeting: Forum Accepts Suggestion Regarding Foreign Pilots’ License Validation

The suggestion of the Cabinet Division to prolong the validity of licenses for 86 foreign pilots currently employed in Pakistan by two years has been accepted by the Federal Cabinet.
Additionally, it approved a three-year extension of the foreign validation for the new pilots who joined in 2025.
During the meeting, the prime minister was informed that Pakistani Airlines had to hire pilots from overseas because of the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions on Pakistani pilots in prior years.
After the full legal process, the cabinet division’s aforementioned proposal would be put into effect.
In order to increase system transparency, the Prime Minister established a committee led by Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif to examine the Toshakhana Act 2024.
Based on the suggestions made by the Cabinet Division, the Cabinet approved the rules and regulations pertaining to the appointment of the chairman and members of the National Seed Development and Regulatory Authority.
Additionally, it approved a change to the 1973 Rules of Business that transferred responsibility for the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act from the Ministry of it to the Ministry of Interior, as suggested by the Cabinet division.
On advice from the Ministry of Law and Justice, the Cabinet approved Dr. Ammar Habib Khan’s appointment as member Finance of the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority appeal panel.
The Federal Cabinet gave its approval to the ruling.
