Four bills passed by both houses but returned by the president have been adopted by the Joint Sitting of Parliament. The opposition benches had nothing against the bill.
Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq chaired the Joint Session.
Trade Organizations Amendment Bill 2021, Imports and Exports Control Amendment Bill 2023, National Institute of Technology Bill 2024, and National Excellence Institute Bill 2025 were all passed by the Joint Sitting of Parliament.
Under article 54(1) of the constitution, President Asif Ali Zardari had called a meeting of the Parliament’s joint session.
The Speaker National Assembly subsequently postponed the joint session of parliament until the 12th of the next month.
