GITEX 2024 is dominated by Pakistan, which showcases more than 80 companies at the event.

At the GITEX Global event, which was backed by the Special Investment Facilitation Council, Pakistan’s Information Technology Sector was recognized as the preferred location for technology in the year 2024.

Pakistan has established its presence in the global IT environment one month prior to the event that will take place in October. This achievement is a reflection of the expansion of the information technology sector in the country.

Innovation and artificial intelligence are the primary focuses of GITEX Global, which is the most extensive technology event in South Asia, North Africa, and the Middle East. Experts in information technology, investors, and businesses will all have the opportunity to work together at this event.

There will be over 80 top enterprises and startups present at GITEX Global 2024, which will be attended by the Pakistan Software Export Board as well as the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan. Pakistan is able to demonstrate its capabilities courtesy of this event.

It is contributing to the robust community of freelancers that the information technology sector is experiencing an annual rise of 75,000 graduates. The Kearney Global Services Location Index highlights Pakistan as an appropriate location for information technology outsourcing due to the fact that it provides services at operational costs that are seventy percent lower than those in North America.

Mansehra Archaeological Site: 2800-Year-Old Artefacts Discovered Through Excavation

Experts from Hazara University’s Archaeology department have found artefacts in Mansehra’s Kander Bedadi Village that date back about 2800 years.

Under Dr. Shakirullah’s guidance, the excavation process was completed.

The site has yielded historical and cultural artefacts from the Indo-Greek to the British Colonial Period, covering five generations.

A unique look into the region’s multi-layered history, encompassing the Indo-Greek, Parthian, Kushan, Hindu Imperial, early Islamic, and British eras, is offered by the finds.

Iron tools, clay figures, human and animal sculptures, copper coins, and pearls are among the artefacts that were unearthed.

Funded by the Higher Education Commission and the British Council, the project intends to increase awareness of the value of international collaborations in promoting archaeological research, conserving artefacts, and learning more about the site’s historical significance.
