‘Honhar Scholarship Scheme’ is extended by Punjab to other provinces

The expansion of the ‘Honhar Scholarship Scheme’ to include students from other provinces was approved by Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab.

Scholarships for Punjabi students in their second, third, and fourth years were approved by CM Maryam Nawaz, who chaired a high-level meeting on higher education.

Furthermore, 110,000 more laptops will now be handed as part of the province government’s effort.

Students from other provinces must receive at least 65% of the possible points in order to be eligible for a laptop. Additionally, the chief minister ordered the creation of a special helpline for students enrolled in the Honhar Scholarship and Laptop Program
Maryam Nawaz emphasized the government’s dedication to youth empowerment during the meeting, saying, “Our country’s true investment is in education and the youth. It is our duty to give every child access to contemporary learning resources because they deserve it.

She reiterated the promise to provide students in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, and Azad Kashmir with the same possibilities as those in Punjab.

CM Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed her dedication to educational reforms and promised that funding would not be a barrier to the rollout of any student care programs.

Electricity thieves have been recouped for Rs. 146.64 billion since September 2023.

There have been more than 115,280 arrests.

Just in the last week, 174 electrical thieves were caught and Rs. 970 million was recovered.

The goal of the authorities is to eradicate electricity theft across the country.
