An invitation to appear before the committee on Friday, February 28, 2025, has been sent out to the Inspector General of Sindh by the committee in the form of a notice.
According to the notice, the Inspector General of Sindh, along with other relevant police authorities, is required to give specifics surrounding the matter. These specifics include information about Armaghan and the drug commercial enterprise.
Earlier, the Sindh Home Department issued a notification by removing the administrative powers of the judge at Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) 1 in the case of the murder of Mustafa Amir. This was done in accordance with the orders provided by the Sindh High Court.
In view of the controversy that has surrounded the decision of the Administrative Trial Court 1 to not award remand for Armaghan, the primary accused in the murder case of Mustafa Amir, this move has been introduced.
Prior to it, the police presented two individuals who are suspected of murdering Mustafa Amir in front of a magistrate’s court.
Judicial Magistrate South was the court where Armaghan and Sheeraz were brought before the court by the police.
“Did you issue notices to defence lawyers,” the court questioned the investigation officer.
Due to the fact that the identification parade of the accused could not be carried out, the magistrate expressed his dissatisfaction with the performance of the interrogation officer. In accordance with section 164, the statements made by the witnesses could not be recorded.
The court issued notices to the lawyers of accused and ordered production of the suspects again tomorrow (Thursday).
The official in charge of the investigation had told the principal accused Armaghan’s two servants about the possibility of recording their comments in accordance with section 164.
It was on January 6 when Mustafa Amir was taken hostage and allegedly murdered by his pals who were working in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) in Karachi.
According to the police, the youth’s friends stuffed his body in the trunk of his car and torched it in the Hub area of Balochistan.
