Marryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, declared in February that 20,000 homes would be built around the province.
Work on the project has already begun under the Punjab government’s “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” program.
A review meeting resulted in the approval of Rs8.20 billion in loans for 9,015 homes, with 2,050 individuals receiving the second installment of housing loans.
In addition to the 4,841 homes that are currently being built, the program’s portal has received over 400,000 completed applications and 728,000 visitors.
A group consisting of eight members has been established to address the housing requirements of Punjab and offer cost-effective solutions.
