The Islamabad High Court became the focus of attention when court cases arose over the election results, especially in NA-48 Islamabad.

Ali Bukhari, a candidate supported by the PTI, has disputed the win of independent Raja Khurram Nawaz and is requesting that the electoral commission’s notice about NA-48 be stopped.

In his application, Ali Bukhari said that the ECP’s notification should have never been sent in the first place and that their concerns had been ignored. Bukhari expressed his displeasure with the procedure and demanded that the returning officer (RO) and all other individuals involved face legal repercussions.

According to Bukhari, the electoral commission sent out a notice at one in the morning and a stay at eleven at night.

In related news, the ECP halted the results of the NA-70 and PP-45 polls in Sialkot and requested reports from the RO. According to Form 45, independent candidates won both seats, as stated by their solicitors. But as Form 47 was being produced, the district police officer (DPO) detained both independent candidates, shocking their attorneys and turning the situation completely around.

The attorneys further asserted that the results in these constituencies were announced without the presence of the individuals running for office. The chief electoral commissioner and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Member Akramullah led the proceedings.
