Six terrorists were slain and one soldier was injured during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) by security forces in North Waziristan on Wednesday, according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Terrorists and security personnel engaged in a violent altercation during the operation after security forces acted upon intelligence regarding their presence, according to the ISPR.
According to the ISPR, one soldier was also hurt during the farewell exchange. Weapons and explosives were also found in the dead terrorists’ hands.
It has been discovered that the killed terrorists had kidnapped and extorted innocent bystanders. They took part in the operations as well.
To totally rid the region of terrorists, a sanitization effort is also ongoing.
