The successful operation by security forces near the Pak-Afghan border to halt the increasing infiltration of terrorists from Afghanistan into Balochistan has revealed fresh proof of the utilization of Afghan territory for terrorism in Pakistan.
Security sources indicate that the infiltration of terrorists from Afghanistan into Pakistan is escalating, and their participation in terrorist incidents within Pakistan has progressively increased.
Numerous terrorist organizations receive comprehensive support, facilitation, and patronage from the Afghan Taliban in executing terrorist activities in Pakistan.
On March 5, 2025, Security Forces executed a successful operation in Toba Kakri, adjacent to the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Balochistan, during which multiple individuals were detained.
Security sources reported the apprehension of four significant terrorists during the operation, along with the confiscation of Kalashnikovs, hand grenades, and guns.
The apprehended terrorists have admitted to orchestrating a significant terrorist strike.
In his confession, an apprehended terrorist stated: “My name is Asamuddin, son of Gulshad.”
“I hail from Afghanistan” and “our ideology constitutes our training.”
Terrorist Asamuddin stated: “I possessed two firearms, two Kalashnikovs, a grenade, and additional weaponry.”
He stated, “We entered Pakistan three days ago from Afghanistan and clandestinely crossed into Pakistan at night via the border fence.” He mentioned that we needed to proceed to Pishin.
Security sources indicate that local residents significantly contributed to the success of this operation against terrorists.
The apprehended terrorists have been relocated to an undisclosed site for more inquiry.
Security sources previously said that numerous Afghan terrorists were eliminated by security troops, including the son of Badghis Governor Kharji Badruddin among the deceased terrorists.
They additionally stated that Afghan terrorist Mujibur Rehman, who was eliminated on February 28, 2025, served as a commander at the Hazrat Muaz bin Jabal National Military Academy in Afghanistan.
Defence experts commend the involvement of local populations in combatting terrorists alongside security troops.
Experts indicated that the primary cause of the surge in terrorism in Pakistan is the proliferation of terrorist organizations operating on Afghan territory.
It has been asserted that Afghanistan has transformed into a sanctuary for terrorists, necessitating immediate international intervention.
They further stated that the majority of Afghan nationals who enter Pakistan alongside terrorists are either dead or apprehended.
Defense analysts stated that the Afghan interim government’s silence, despite Pakistan’s repeated evidence, indicates its backing for terrorists.
