The Pakistan Air Force’s operational air base has hosted the conclusion of the bilateral portion of Exercise Indus Shield 2024, which is being carried out independently between the Chinese and Pakistani air forces.

People’s Liberation Army Air Force of China participated in the drill, according to ISPR, with its personnel and advanced equipment, including the Lethal Hq-22 Surface To Air Defense System, Long Range BVR Equipped J-16 & J-10C Fighter Aircraft, and AESA Radar.

In order to simulate modern aerial combat situations, it also featured the powerful Airborne Electronic Warfare YTG-9 Platform and a KJ-500 Airborne early warning system placed against PAF’s J-10C and JF-17 Block-III Fighter Jets.

While tackling today’s security threats, the successful completion of such a massive exercise shows the Pakistan Air Force’s cooperative operational readiness among allies.

Indus Shield-Chinese has optimized the warfighting capabilities of both participating Air Forces by simulating various military tactics in a training environment that is nearly realistic for multi-domain operations and aims to validate interoperability between China and Pakistan in the face of modern air combat challenges.
