Regarding the finality of the prophethood pronouncements in the marriage contract, the nikahnama, the federal government is about to make a big decision.

Sources inside the Ministry of Religious Affairs have informed me that there are plans to include an affidavit in the nikahnama that verifies the finality of Prophethood (PBUH).

A summary pertaining to the affidavit is expected to be delivered at an upcoming cabinet meeting, where the proposed modification is expected to be reviewed.

The new requirement will demand that the nikahnama issued under Islamabad’s authority include an oath supporting the finality of prophethood, if approved by the federal cabinet.

The objective of this development is to incorporate religious statements into official documentation in a formal manner, demonstrating the government’s dedication to maintaining religious principles in legal affairs.
