The occurrence of acts of terrorism has significantly increased in recent days, leading the government to strongly advise Afghanistan to take action to control and suppress militant individuals or groups.

In the previous month, the government authorized the commencement of operation “Azm-e-Istehkam” in order to deliver a suitable and forceful retaliation against terrorists who are carrying out assaults within the country.

Attack on Bannu Cantonment

During a daring assault, eight members of the Pakistan Army were killed when security forces successfully prevented a terrorist attack at the Bannu Cantonment. The military forces eliminated the 10 militants.

The ISPR reported that a total of 10 terrorists were eliminated during an attack when they attempted to forcibly enter Bannu Cantonment. This act of terrorism specifically targeted the military in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a region that has experienced a significant increase in violent incidents.
