According to Radio Pakistan, the seven troops and officials of the Pakistan army who were killed in a terrorist attack in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan on Saturday, were buried in their hometowns with full military honors on Sunday.

The martyrs consisted of Lt-Col Syed Kashif Ali from Karachi, Capt Muhammad Ahmad Badar from Talagang, Havaldar Sabir from Khyber, Naik Khurshid from Lakki Marwat, Sepoy Nasir from Peshawar, Sepoy Raja from Kohat, and Sepoy Sajid from Abbottabad.

A significant multitude of individuals, encompassing the families of the fallen heroes, relatives, Pakistan army officers, and local elders, gathered to participate in the funeral prayers.

On Saturday, a group of at least six terrorists deliberately crashed a car filled with explosives into a checkpoint manned by security forces in the Mir Ali region. This act of terrorism tragically resulted in the deaths of Havaldar Sabir, Naik Khurshid, Sepoy Nasir, Sepoy Raja, and Sepoy Sajid.

The security officers effectively thwarted the initial attempt to infiltrate.

During the clearance operation, Lieutenant Colonel Kashif Ali successfully neutralized all six terrorists. Nevertheless, both Lieutenant Colonel Kashif Ali and Captain Muhammad Ahmed Badar tragically lost their lives in the intense firefight with the attackers.
