Over twelve heads of state will come to Pakistan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit, which is being held in Islamabad this month, according to Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, the minister of information stated that Pakistan is honoured to host the SCO heads of government meeting, which will contribute to the country’s efforts to develop a positive image.

Pakistan is honoured that Shehbaz Sharif’s speech to the UN General Assembly elicited such an unprecedented response, the Information Minister said, characterising the prime minister’s visit to the US as extremely successful.

He stated that in the global organisation, the prime minister argued the cases of Palestine and Kashmir with force. In response to the Israeli prime minister’s address, he claimed, a delegation from Pakistan led the UN general assembly walkout. The Israeli prime minister, according to him, spoke to the empty chamber.

The Prime Minister’s visit to New York, he claimed, is evidence that Pakistan’s foreign policy is headed in the right direction.

All economic indicators are favourable, according to the minister of information, with inflation declining, foreign exchange reserves increasing, and the currency staying steady.

That some party wishes to sabotage this process was something he lamented. On the other hand, he stated that the party’s plans will fail.

The Minister of Information has made it clear that the law will run its course and that any attempt to undermine the state of law and order would not be allowed.

The economic strategy of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, according to Attaullah TARAR, is not only beneficial for the country but has also begun to show effects.
