Multiple segments of the freeway network remained inaccessible owing to thick fog, resulting in inconveniences for commuters and transportation services.

Authorities closed primary thoroughfares due to a substantial decrease in visibility. The Sialkot Motorway M-11 was entirely closed to traffic, necessitating that travelers find alternative routes.

Likewise, Motorway M-2 was closed from Lahore to Kot Momin, resulting in stopped traffic.

The M-3 motorway experienced a total shutdown, disrupting transit operations. The M-4 Motorway from Pindi Bhattian to Abdul Hakeem was declared impassable owing to adverse weather conditions.

Officials advised motorists to refrain from non-essential travel and to monitor information concerning the resumption of traffic services.

On January 10, Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channer, the acting speaker of the Punjab Assembly, called a meeting of the assembly.

The 20th session was called by acting speaker Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channer on January 10 at 2:00 PM, the Assembly secretariat announced in a notification.

By a majority vote, the Punjab Assembly had previously approved a resolution endorsing the 26th Constitutional Amendment.

Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, the Punjab Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, had introduced the resolution, arguing that the constitutional change is an extension of the Charter of Democracy.

Punjab’s law and order is deemed satisfactory by the Apex Committee.

The Punjab Apex Committee was pleased with the state of law and order in the province as a whole on Tuesday.

The chief minister presided over the committee meeting, which was attended by high-ranking military and civil personnel. Among the many agenda items it examined were security and public safety initiatives.

All players will have VVIP-level protection thanks to the committee’s approval of a thorough security plan for the forthcoming Champions Trophy.
