In response to the unsatisfactory Board of Intermediate Education Karachi results, NED University of Engineering and Technology has updated its admissions requirements for a number of courses for 2024.
Most of the pupils were deemed unsuccessful in their intermediate exams, and they subsequently filled out a lot of scrutiny forms at the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK).
The former caretaker government of Sindh constituted a committee after receiving notice of the issue, and the committee discovered anomalies in the exams.
The committee stated in its report that there was “tampering” with the results of English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. For the incident, eight members of the Karachi Intermediate Board have been found accountable.
Students who have earned at least 55% of their intermediate grades are eligible to participate in the admission exam, according to the administration of NED University. The previous minimum mark requirement was 60 percentage points.
The decision was made in light of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi’s (BIEK) findings.
Notification of the adjustment to the admission policy will be sent out following the syndicate’s approval of the institution.
According to the NED administration, the admission exam for enrollment in the next session will take place in May.
