Karachi A cohort of newly appointed Air Traffic Controllers has successfully finished the 44th Basic ATCO Course at the Civil Aviation Training Institute (CATI). This cohort comprised 29 officers who completed a rigorous 40-week ab-initio training program, a prerequisite for their formal induction as Assistant Directors of Air Traffic Services.
According to the information, following their graduation from CATI, these young officers have been transferred to Karachi and Lahore for On-the-Job Training (OJT), which is crucial before they assume independent responsibilities as Air Traffic Controllers.
The training was facilitated by a cadre of seasoned former ATC officers, comprising Mr. Rashid Muhammad Hussain, Mr. Shabbir Ahmed, Mr. Javed Hameed, and Mr. Naveed Ahmed Khan. Their knowledge was important in developing the current generation of ATCOs.
