The Organization for Islamic Cooperation has stated its support for the undisputed right to self-determination of the people of unjustly held Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement, the OIC General Secretariat reaffirmed its demand that all unlawful actions taken on August 5, 2019, to alter the demographic composition of the disputed area, be halted.
In reference to the Islamic Summit’s and the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers’ resolutions on the issue, the statement once more urged the international community to step up efforts to settle the Jammu and Kashmir conflict in line with the pertinent UN Security Council resolutions.
