In addition to admitting the Supreme Court Bar Association’s review petition, the Court reversed its previous ruling regarding the interpretation of Article 63(a) of the Constitution.

The ruling was unanimously declared by the five-member bench led by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

In order to get the Supreme Court’s ruling on the interpretation of Article 63(A), former President Arif Alvi filed a reference with the court.

A five-member court led by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial then reached the 3-2 majority decision that lawmakers’ votes who disobey orders will likewise not be tallied.

More than two years had passed since the Supreme Court Bar filed its review.

New problems surfaced when Justice Munib Akhter, the original judgment’s author, and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah declined requests to join the bench following the practice and procedure committee’s creation of a five-member bench.

With regard to the PTI founder, Barrister Ali Zafar brought up concerns before the new bench, but they were dismissed.

His plea to hear his client via video link was also denied by Chief Justice. According to the Chief Justice, his attorney may argue that this is a constitutional dispute rather than a personal one.

The chief justice then offered Ali Zafar the opportunity to join the court as an amicus curiae, but Zafar declined.
