Pakistan Ships Its 21st Humanitarian Aid Shipment To Syria In Response To PM Directives

According to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s orders, Pakistan is still sending humanitarian aid to war-torn nations; its 21st shipment of aid has been sent to Syria by the national disaster management body.

Essential supplies including food, blankets, and medications are included in the most recent cargo, which weighs about 17 tons.

The entire amount of aid that has been sent to war-torn nations now stands at 1,756 tons, of which 1,273 tons have been sent to Gaza, 372 tons to Lebanon, and 111 tons to Syria.

The NDMA has been putting in a lot of effort to help people impacted by the region’s continuous hostilities.

According to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan and Turkey have always supported one another throughout trying times and would continue to do so.

He said that the people of Pakistan joined him in honoring the bravery and tenacity of our Turkish brothers and sisters, who, under the capable leadership of President Erdogan, came out stronger from this strategy, in a post on X marking the end of two years since the devastating earthquake in Turkiye.

Today marks the second anniversary of the February 6, 2023 earthquake in Turkey, which destroyed entire cities and killed around 60,000 people, including in neighboring Syria.

Following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck at 4:17 am, thousands of residential buildings in southeast Turkey collapsed, killing numerous people in their wake.
