After the shocks, people recited Kalma-e-Tayyaba as they fled their homes in terror.

Tremors were detected in several areas of Punjab, including Gujrat, Jhelum, Nankana Sahib, Jalalpur Bhatian, Wazirabad, Shahkot, and Bhalwal, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC).

The 4.8-magnitude earthquake, according to the NSMC, had an epicenter close to Kharian and a depth of 15 kilometers.
But in its wake, no property or fatalities were reported.

Parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, primarily Swat, experienced an earthquake of magnitude 4.5 earlier in August.

The earthquake of magnitude 5.4 that rocked portions of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and KP on August 29 is the cause of today’s tremors.

Another earthquake of magnitude 4.7 struck Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Swat district and its environs in July.
