Naseer Soomro, Pakistan’s tallest man, has died at the age of 55 following a prolonged struggle with lung disease and joint pain.

His relatives report that he passed away in his hometown of Shikarpur, where he will be interred.

Soomro, at 7 feet 9 inches in height, was regarded as one of the tallest individuals globally, standing at least three feet above the average person. His exceptional stature garnered him national and worldwide acclaim, elevating Pakistan’s prominence on a global platform.

Challenges and acknowledgment
Soomro was an employee of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), appointed for his exceptional stature. In recent years, he encountered indifference from both the government and his institution, grappling with health complications and financial hardships.

Soomro was hospitalized numerous times owing to chronic lung disease, as reported by his relatives, although he persisted in combating his declining health.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah conveyed profound grief regarding the demise of Naseer Soomro. He expressed his condolences and sympathies to Soomro’s family, recognizing his services to enhancing Pakistan’s global recognition.

Rana Sanaullah, adviser to the prime minister on political and public matters, stated that intelligence-based operations are performed daily throughout the province.
In his engagement with journalists in Faisalabad, he stated that the entire nation and its institutions are dedicated to eliminating the scourge of terrorism from the country.
Rana Sanaullah asserted that India’s RAW is financing terrorists to conduct covert actions intended to destabilize Pakistan.
He stated that RAW is implicated in acts of terrorism in Balochistan and that the Indian intelligence agency has consolidated many terrorist factions in the region.
Rana Sanullah urged the Afghan Government to take measures against terrorists.
He stated that antagonistic forces aimed to induce instability within the nation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has vehemently denounced the terrorist assault in Nushki.
He articulated sorrow at the loss of invaluable lives in the explosion.
The Prime Minister stated that such heinous assaults cannot undermine our will to combat terrorism.
He prayed for the exalted status of the martyred civilians and FC troops, and conveyed his condolences to their families.
The Prime Minister also expressed hopes for the swift recovery of the injured and mandated the provision of all available medical aid to them.
