PM: The government is committed to promoting radio stations and FM stations.

Today is World Radio Day, which is being celebrated all around the world, including in Pakistan, to bring attention to the significance of radio as a significant medium for the dissemination of information, the provision of education, and the supply of entertainment to individuals.

Within the context of World Radio Day, the theme for this year is “Radio And Climate Change,” with the intention of providing assistance to radio stations in their journalistic coverage of this matter.

In a statement he delivered on the occasion of World Radio Day, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif stated that radio played an effective role in raising awareness among the people in reaction to various difficulties.

According to him, radio plays a significant part in the formation of opinions concerning the challenge of climate change and the repercussions it has.

In addition to fulfilling the demand for pleasure and promoting culture, Shehbaz Sharif stated that Radio Pakistan and community stations have not only played an important role in the dissemination of information but have also met another requirement.

According to the Prime Minister, climate change is a global problem, and the entire globe is struggling to handle the repercussions of this challenge, which are occurring in rapid succession.

In light of the fact that developing nations such as Pakistan are among the most susceptible to the effects of climate change, he stated that the significance of radio has increased in order to make use of its role in raising awareness among the general public.

A statement made by the Prime Minister indicated that the government is dedicated to promoting radio Pakistan, FM stations, and community stations that are part of the private sector.
