Punjab to provide solar panels to farmers for tubewells

A conference, led by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, decided to supply solar panels to farmers for their tubewells.

Nawaz Sharif emphasized the escalating expenses associated with energy and gas, raising concerns about the resilience of the populace. He campaigned for the provision of solar panels to farmers, emphasizing the need for government investment in this area.

Nawaz emphasized the importance of guaranteeing equitable remuneration for the laborious efforts of farmers. In addition, he recommended that they protect themselves from being exploited by intermediaries.

The report at the meeting disclosed previous governmental practices of providing wheat to mills at rates below the purchase price, leading to a significant debt of Rs 630 billion, with a potential risk of it increasing to Rs 1.1 trillion.

CM Maryam vowed to employ state-of-the-art equipment and implement drip irrigation techniques in order to improve agricultural productivity and minimize water usage. In addition, she expressed a need for a comprehensive approach to address the issue of increasing fertilizer prices.

Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Information Minister Azma Bukhari, Food Minister Bilal Yasin, and Agriculture Minister Syed Ashiq, along with other officials including the Chief Secretary, SMBR, Secretary of Food, Agriculture, Finance, Chairman of PITB, and others, were present at the meeting.

During his visit to District Jail Mandi Bahauddin, Member of the National Assembly Chaudhry Nasir Iqbal Bosaal officially opened a number of development projects, including the recently built jail building.
Chaudhry Nasir Iqbal Bosaal mna was welcomed at the District Jail by Superintendent Jail Haq Nawaz, Deputy Superintendent Sheikh Arif Nisar, Shahzad Aslam Jaja, and other jail staff. The Jail’s cadre saluted and presented a guard of honor.
He treated sick inmates admitted to the hospital, established other development projects, including the recently built jail facility, and toured several barracks, mills, anchorage, juvenile ward, and jail hospital.

The ombudsman Punjab Nankana Sahib Region held an awareness seminar at Government Captain Hassan Nawaz Shaheed MC High School.
The CEO of the District Education Authority, Shazia Bano, chaired the seminar. Advisor Malik Muhammad Aslam and District Education Officer Secondary Dr. Saima Zafar were among the educators, students, and education officers that attended the session.
