LAHORE’S RECIPROCCING RAIN

Following the most rainfall in 44 years, the Punjab government issued a rain emergency declaration for Lahore. Low-lying areas were inundated due to the rain.

Traffic in the provincial capital was severely hindered as drivers attempted to complete their daily tasks due to the torrential downpour that flooded roads and streets in multiple regions.

Many Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) feeders tripped due to rain, causing power outages in some areas of the city. This country’s current rainy spell is expected to last until August 6, according to the Met Office’s prediction.
