In order to ascertain the new moon sighting, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee met in Islamabad under the direction of Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad. In Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, or anywhere else in the nation, there were, however, no reports of seeing the moon.

Friday, September 06, is the start of the Islamic month. On September 17, the 12th Rabiul Awwal (Eid Miladun Nabi, PBUH) will be celebrated.

Religious scholars from all schools of Islam as well as meteorologists attended the moon sighting conference. While there were reports of moon sightings from all throughout Pakistan, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad observed that the majority of the country was experiencing overcast weather, with clear spells in some areas.

Later, through an official notification, the Ministry of Religious Affairs acknowledged this.

Muftis Zameer Ahmed Sajid, Muhammad Iqbal Naemi, Abdul Salam Jalali, Allama Mustafa Haider Naqvi, and other Muftis attended the meeting as members of the Central and Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees.

On the twelfth day of Rabiul Awwal, the Islamic lunar calendar’s third month, Muslims around the world celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi, the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
