The birthplace of their spiritual guru Baba Gorunanak, Gurdawara Janam Asatahaan Nankana Sahib, was visited by a 23-member team of Sikh pilgrims from India.
The Gurdawara administration extended a warm welcome to Sikh pilgrims who arrived in special busses under the direction of Jatha Leader Sardar Pram Jeet Singh.
Sikh pilgrims performed their religious rituals, including Matha Taki, Shabad Kirtan and Ardaas on the birth of Baba Gorunanak.
They also toured several areas of the Gurdwa and expressed gratitude to the Pakistani government for providing the best possible security for the Gurdwara, which is credited to his spiritual leader’s memories.
The seven gurdwaras in Nankana Sahib city were also visited by the Sikh pilgrims, who conducted religious rites there.
Speaking on the occasion, Jatha Leader Sardar Pram Jeet Singh said that the respect we have received in Pakistan is difficult to describe in words. We are thank full to government of Pakistan for excellent welcome, best hospitality and ideal security.
