Former Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) emir Sirajul Haq stated on Sunday that the nation lacks justice, peace, and democracy.

During a news conference in Vehari, Haq articulated serious worries on the several difficulties afflicting the nation. Haq expressed sorrow, stating, “The nation is beset by numerous issues, yet those in authority remain apathetic to the struggles of the ordinary citizen.”

He condemned the ongoing political negotiations between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), claiming that these discussions favored “vested interests” over national concerns.

“The discussions between the PTI and PML-N illustrate the parties’ objectives rather than the nation’s urgent issues,” Haq stated.

He emphasized the “disparity” between the governing elite and the daily challenges faced by the populace.

Emphasizing the financial challenges encountered by the populace, Haq stated, “We are enslaved individuals unable to procure flour by our own volition.”

He charged the administration with “failing to deliver solutions” for the escalating difficulties faced by the public.

Haq claimed, “The JI is the authentic representative of public concerns.”

Haq asserted that the existing leadership “lacked the vision and determination” to address the issues faced by the populace.
