Chief Justice Yahya Afridi presided over a Judicial Commission meeting that authorised the selection of six justices for the Supreme Court.
The ruling states that Justices Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court, Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui of the Sindh High Court, Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar of the Balochistan High Court, Ishtiaq Ibrahim of the Peshawar High Court, Shakeel Ahmed of the Sindh High Court, and Salahuddin Panhwar of the Sindh High Court have all been promoted to the Supreme Court.
Additionally, Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb has been appointed as an Ad-Hoc Judge of the Supreme Court.
