Student at Punjab University fatally shot in an incident on campus.

A student from Punjab University was fatally shot, prompting a student organization to conduct a sit-in outside the university.

Subsequent to the incident, traffic congestion occurred on Canal Road, Barkat Market, and adjacent thoroughfares.

The student organization purportedly assaulted the Punjab University administration block and commenced acts of damage, including the ransacking of flower pots and doors.

The injured youth was transported to the emergency department of Sheikh Zayed Hospital, but succumbed upon arrival.

Position of the PU spokesman

The PU spokesperson stated that the event did not occur within the confines of Punjab University and asserted that the student association was disseminating lies and misinformation.

The representative of Sheikh Zayed Hospital stated that the body was surrendered to the police.

Sheikh Zayed Hospital stated, “The body will be transferred to the morgue for autopsy.”

The university student association stated that the injured student was affiliated with the sociology department.

The circumstances at Punjab University continued to be strained.

Sheikh Zaid Hospital reported that the 22-year-old victim sustained three gunshot wounds to the chest, abdomen, and leg.

The physicians stated that they attempted to rescue the young man, but he was beyond salvation. The sufferer was transported to the operating room where he succumbed.

According to sources, the student’s name was Rana Ammar Akhter, a gender studies student from Kasur.

The ombudsman Punjab Nankana Sahib Region held an awareness seminar at Government Captain Hassan Nawaz Shaheed MC High School.
