Additionally, the provincial administration has made the decision to gather information on individuals with disabilities.

The decisions were made on Thursday at a special meeting presided over by Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab.

Baitul Maal and social welfare were discussed with the chief minister. At the conference, the digitization of Baitul Maal was agreed.

During the meeting, it was also resolved to supply new wheelchairs and loans under a new financing system for exceptional persons. The chief minister requested an assessment of the required restrooms and ramps at government facilities.

It was planned to offer loans ranging from Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 200,000 to those with particular needs. In addition, operational skill development centers would be established in Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad, with plans to establish similar centers in additional cities.

The panel also recommended the development of drug abuse centers in each division and audits of non-governmental organizations that assist people with disabilities.

The creation of VAWC centers in each division to end violence against women was approved by the meeting. The idea of forming a taskforce on women’s protection was also discussed.

Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed, Provincial Minister for Social Welfare, Baitul Maal Sohaib Shaukat Butt, MPA Sania Ashiq, Principal Secretary, Secretary of Social Welfare, and other pertinent authorities were present at the meeting.

There have been more than 115,280 arrests.

Just in the last week, 174 electrical thieves were caught and Rs. 970 million was recovered.

The goal of the authorities is to eradicate electricity theft across the country.
