As to the weather report, the city had a cold night with freezing winds blowing during the night and a minimum temperature of 08° Celsius. The feel-like temperature was still 06° Celsius.

Quetta’s freezing winds are to blame for the recent cold spell, which has drastically reduced Karachi’s feel-good temperature.

Today’s cold weather is expected to improve, as meteorologists forecast that the city will experience another round of frigid conditions starting on January 12.

Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Khairpur, and surrounding areas experienced light to medium fog both at night and in the morning, whereas the majority of Sindh’s districts experienced cold and dry weather last night.

The Met Office predicts gusty, high winds will blow through most of Sindh this afternoon.

The northeastern winds, which blow between 5 and 15 kilometers per hour, are to blame for the temperatures being felt two to four degrees lower than the actual ones, according to the Meteorological Department.

Mohen Jo Daro reported a temperature of 2 Celsius, while the desert town of Mithi recorded the lowest temperature in Sindh, 1 Celsius.

The weather prediction indicates that tomorrow’s temperature in Mithi could be minus one.
