This time, the Board gave its approval to an annual PEEF budget of almost one billion rupees.

On June 3, the University of Oxford announced that it would provide scholarships under the Benazir Scholarship Program to students from Balochistan.

Malala Yousafzai, the international ambassador for girls’ education, and Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti attended the signing of the agreement between Oxford University and the Balochstani administration.

According to a handout given by the press secretary to the chief minister of Balochistan, gifted students from the country will be awarded complete scholarships to attend Oxford University, one of the most prominent universities in the world, to pursue higher education.

The program seeks to empower Balochistani youth and give them access to high-quality education.

Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, asserts that the government is implementing tangible measures for the empowerment of the young.

During a news conference in Islamabad today, he stated that the government has attained significant victories in education, entertainment, employment, entrepreneurship, and sports through the PM’s Youth Programme.

The National Youth Council has been established transparently, with one hundred members from within the country and thirteen representatives from overseas Pakistanis.

He emphasized that the National Youth Council consists of forty-nine males, forty-nine females, two transgender individuals, and members from minority groups.

Rana Mashhood announced that the National Youth Council members will convene in the federal capital for a three-day session in the near future.

He stated that the council will assume a proactive role in the formulation of government policies and other projects.

The Judicial Commission of Pakistan, chaired by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, has annulled the Judicial Commission Rules 2010 and ratified the Judicial Commission Rules 2024, which will take effect immediately.

The Judicial Commission of Pakistan has announced that the criteria for appointing a judge will be established in accordance with the constitution and the judge’s oath.

Professional credentials, abilities, attitude, integrity, and experience will be evaluated for the appointment and promotion of judges, ensuring adequate representation of attorneys and judicial officers in the process.

For judicial officers, seniority may be considered alongside the established qualifications and standards.

The new regulations underscored the significance of diversity in appointments, and the commission will guarantee that the process accurately represents various regions, genders, and religions.

The Judicial Commission shall maintain its secretariat in the Supreme Court building or at a location determined by the chairperson.

The records of the Judicial Commission Secretariat will be maintained, and the operations of the Secretariat shall be executed under the directives of the chairperson.

The Secretariat will apprise the Commission of anticipated vacancies in the Supreme Court, High Courts, and Federal Shariat Court.

PM Shehbaz says there will be no compromise on the nuclear program during the federal cabinet meeting.

According to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan’s defense program is for deterrence, and the country will not compromise on its nuclear program.

Prime Minister Shehbaz stated during his speech at the Federal Cabinet Meeting in Islamabad that the 240 million people of Pakistan hold the Nuclear Program in the highest regard.

He claimed that there has been a rise in terrorist attacks in recent months.

He said that the security forces dispatched eight Khwarij to hell and that 17 Army personnel were martyred in the Khwarij attacks a few days ago.

The prime minister declared that in order to gain from economic stability, every resource would be used to end terrorism.

He stated the Cabinet Meeting also included prayers for the victims of terrorism attacks.

“Those who marched on Islamabad should have concentrated on Parachinar,” Shehbaz Sharif added.

According to him, the province administration might have prevented the loss if it had invested in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The first meeting with the PTI’s negotiating team was held yesterday, according to the prime minister, and the next one is scheduled for January 2. He advocated for the national interest to come first.

Exports and remittances are steadily rising, Shehbaz Sharif added, while the policy rate has been further lowered by 2%.

In February, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar would travel to Bangladesh, he said.
